Johnny Zela

Johnny Zela is Chief Operating Officer at Condado Tacos, leading operations, training, off-premise and beverage. As a “day one” employee, he partnered with Founder Joe Kahn to build the foundation for Condado Tacos, starting with the first location in Columbus, Ohio. After serving four years in the U.S. Navy, Johnny started his hospitality career in 1996 as a dishwasher and has worked in most aspects of restaurant operations. His forte is developing a deep level of engagement with his teams and exceeding company goals. That tenacity and commitment helped the brand earn incredible accolades including ‘Breakout Brand of the Year’ by FSR magazine, Fast Casual’s Top 100 Movers and Shakers, and ‘Breakout Retailer’ by Chain Store Age.
